    The printed material consists of works published by and for the School: yearbooks, invitations, programs, student publications, periodical articles, works by classical authors, Latin and Greek grammars, and materials donated by the Boston Latin School Alumni. All photographic processes, including digital, film, alternative and manipulated photography were welcomed into this competition. In “Conversations,” 62 paintings, sculptures, mixed-media and textile works of art from the Cosby collection join some 100 traditional, modern and contemporary artworks from the collection of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art. “Conversations” presents selected pieces from the Cosby collection, including works by Romare Bearden, Elizabeth Catlett, Beauford Delaney, Loïs Mailou Jones, Jacob Lawrence, Keith Morrison, Faith Ringgold, Augusta Savage, Henry Ossawa Tanner and Alma Thomas.
